Gamo Big Cat 1200 Review

I have a gamo big cat 1200 that i am trying to find the most accurate pellet for. Since i submitted the above review on the big cat 1250 on 2018 10 25 i accidentally knocked it off the table that i had it mounted and damaged the 4x32 scope beyond repair. I have put a quality scope and one piece base on it.

Ive got big paws and it feels large to me. The big cat is affordable compared to more advanced models and it is easy for amateurs to learn to use. Things i would have changed. It all depends on how good you are. It is a lightweight gun that provides realistic recoil that is reminiscent of standard rifles. The last time i enjoyed shooting this much was as an army sniper almost a decade ago.

That scope was ok but i would have spent a little more for a better scope. Scope provided makes a better paperweight than a sighting device. Apparently gamo has heard the suggestion from air rifle shooters that a better scope is wanted. I did replace the scope with a tasco i picked up at a gun show and that has been an improvement over the included scope.

This break barrel rifle has a barrel of rifled steel with a fluted polymer jacket. Reviewed in the united states on february 6 2015 i have used this for a couple of months now and it is very accurate. This coiled spring rifle attains an amazing speed of 1400 feet per second with match grade accuracy using pba platinum pellets. Now i am using cabelas 105 gr ultra magnum pellets but am not happy with the accuracy especially on the first shot when it counts while hunting with it.

They have upgraded from a 4x32 to a variable power 3 9x40 scope.
